Limping to Soissons

This day had everything; cold, rain, mud, pain…
We left Cambrai at around 8:00 with rain and cold. It kept raining for at least 2 hours, maybe 3. I was tired and my right knee was quite painful. I arrived at the first water-stop second to last. I left from there and I was at that position pretty much all the time, until I went off-piste (got lost). Instead of going back and after confirming the route with the guide, I decided to carry on towards the right direction and re-join the route further down. So I arrived last at the lunch stop.
Left from there towards the 2nd water stop. This leg was not too long. Then there was a climb and after another short-ish leg I got to Soissons. When I arrived my legs were covered in mud.

Both my knees hurt, but I will make it. Four of our riders had a tumble. No serious injuries; they should be able to carry on. Tomorrow we start at 7:30 for Paris.
If you have not donated, please do. I am in pain, I am suffering in rain and cold for the Carers Trust.
