The organisers had said that they did not get the necessary support from the local authorities for the event to take place in a safe manner, or something along those lines.<\/p>\n<p>The Urban Hill Climb is a timed event (time trial) and takes place along Swain&#8217;s Lane which is\u00a0on the west side of Highgate Cemetary. It is about 900 meters long, it has an average gradient of 7% and maximum of 18%. It starts easy and then it gets steeper. Usually you blow at the flatter part because it feels very easy and then you are dead by the time you reach the steep second half.
