After watching yesterday’s prologue of the Giro d’Italia we can safely say that Spartacus<\/strong><\/a> is suffering. It’s a shame to see such a great cyclist in his final season to not be able to make the best of it.<\/p>\n

Tom Dumulin<\/strong><\/a> delivered. He is in pink. He was one of the favourites for Stage 1. He should be happy starting Stage 2 in the Maglia Rosa.<\/p>\n

Let’s not forget Primoz Roglic’s<\/strong><\/a> second place, though. A great start\u00a0for his first ever Giro. He will be starting Stage 2 in the\u00a0Maglia Rossa (red jersey for the points classification) on loan from Dumulin.<\/p>\n

The Maglia Bianca (white jersey for the young riders’ classification) is on the shoulders of\u00a0Tobias Ludvigsson<\/strong><\/a>, another fresher to the Giro d’Italia.<\/p>\n

What was surprising, though, was Marcel Kittel’s<\/a><\/strong> performance. Kittel is a sprinter and nearly 10 km TT should not be his fort\u00e9. He rode with aplomb and got a pretty good time. So if in the opening stages he takes a couple of sprints and bonus time, he might even wear the Maglia Rosa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
