Today, I decided to use my old sail. I wanted to see how worse it is than the newer sail I have.<\/p>\n<p>I went to the start line. The race officer didn&#8217;t set the ideal course, but it wasn&#8217;t very bad either. I had a really bad start and I was surrounded by Alan, Ian, Douglas and Corbin. On the downwind leg, I was windward to Ian who was luffing me up because he was trying to untangle his <span>mainsheet<\/span>. <span>Everybody<\/span> else was sailing away to our leeward and he kept on going  too high. That delayed my progress, but I managed to get away from him after we rounded the leeward mark.<\/p>\n<p>I had Corbin and Douglas in my sights. Corbin got away earlier but for most of the race I was hoping I would beat Douglas. I managed to get quite close to him, but not close enough. Towards the end of the race he even got further away from me, so I ended up 6<span>th<\/span> out of 10.<\/p>\n<p>I wish I had finished at a better position, but it wasn&#8217;t possible. Never mind, I am quite happy with my recovery and general performance.
